Main Courses

The Dundee Bridge Club {DBC}, course uses the Scottish Bridge Union {SBU}, 20 lesson programme, enhanced with additional play sessions, taught over 2 years. Each year consisting of 2 terms of 15 sessions of 2 hours, splitting each SBU lesson into 2 sessions with an additional play session. Each session is in 2 parts, the first part a theory session and second part a play session.

We offer 2 sets of classes for session 2023-2024, face-to face, at the Club, at both levels on a Tuesday afternoon, 2-4pm, and a Thursday evening, 7-9pm, running for 15 weeks from 5th September - December and again, from January - April. Cost £75; students who are entering their first year of lessons, if not already members, are offered free membership of both DBC and the SBU in their first year.

Students will receive all the teaching material as attachments by E mail.

Next Steps

We also run “next steps” “drop in” non- competitive sessions, from 2-4 Tuesday afternoon throughout, and 7 -9 Thursday evening {summer term only}. Come on your own, with a partner, with a “ready- made” table. Just turn up, £4 a session, card payment only. Doesn’t matter what system you have been taught; our advisors are adaptable!

Gentle pairs

Thursday mornings from 10am, 12-15 Boards, mentors available, come on your own or with a partner. Designed to help introduce players into Club bridge. Friendly and relaxed. £4 a session.
