Bronze ranked players can enter any SBU tournaments, but this is a list of specifically bronze level events, roughly in order based on experience.
Bronze Brunch
The Bronze Brunch runs online every Saturday on the BBO platform - 12 boards starting at 11:45 - an ideal way to dip your toe in the water if you haven't tried a tournament before.
Hugh Kelsey Trophy
Matchpointed pairs event, open to players who are currently in SBU classes. Contact your bridge teacher for details.
Kennedy Trophy
Matchpointed one-day pairs event, open to Bronze 1 (Novices and Club Masters).
Alan Fairlie Individual Trophy
Matchpointed individual one-day event, open to Bronze 1 (Novices and Club Masters) and Bronze 2 (Local and District Masters). Players are required to play a designated simple system.
Johnston Trophy
Matchpointed one-day pairs event, open to Bronze 2 (Local and District Masters).
Shenkin Individual Trophy
Matchpointed individual one-day event, open to Bronze 3 and 4 players (Masters, Star Masters and Senior Masters). Players are required to play a designated simple system.
Bronze League
A regular online national league in several divisions for Bronze players. Full details are on its own web pages. Open to all bronze levels, it's a regular commitment best suited to the more experienced or keen improvers amongst you.
