Festival of Bridge
The first-ever Festival of Bridge – It’s a Big Deal!, taking place 9-15th September this year across Scotland, England and Wales, promises an exciting celebration of the game for all bridge enthusiasts. The Festival of Bridge is a unique collaboration between the three bridge unions to raise awareness and interest in bridge as a mindsport for all ages, as well as raising much-needed funds for Cancer Research UK.

John Murdoch
We are deeply saddened to report the death of John Murdoch on15 December. John was a mainstay of Scottish Bridge, a staunch supporter of all our competitions and a regular member of Scottish International teams.
John's funeral will be held at Co-op Funeralcare, Sunnyside Road Alloa FK10 2AP on Wednesday January 3 at 11am.
He was a bridge player of the highest quality and an excellent partner. He won 44 Camrose Caps between 1988 and 2015 with six different partners; and appeared in 6 Senior Camrose teams with three different partners. He played twice in . . .

Dear Members
Welcome to the new season. Although bridge is played all year round, the Scottish calendar traditionally “starts” in September. Lots has happened since I last wrote to you.
Mempad Upgrade
Mempad consists of a membership database and a Masterpoints system. A necessary major upgrade was done over the summer and has now been completed. This involved an enormous amount of work by Bill Whyte and his team, for which we are very grateful. There is a definite “new look” to the site and feedback so far has been positive.
