Scotland Camrose Team Weekend 1
After consideration of who the 3rd pair should be, the International Committee is pleased to announce that our team for weekend 1 at the Holiday Inn, Edinburgh will be Mike Ash & Robert Ferrari, Phil Stephens & Frazer Morgan and Jun Nakamaru-Pinder & Paul Barton. The NPC will be announced shortly.
National League 2019 Results
The full results of the National League 2019 are: Division 1 - Winners - Team Ash - Mike Ash, Robert Ferrari, Phil Stephens & Frazer Morgan: They will play the first weekend of the Camrose in Edinburgh on January 10 - 12 2020. The Runners-up were Team Sime - Iain Sime, John Murdoch, Douglas Piper & Miro Dragic The 3rd pair for the Camrose team will be added once the International Committee has had a chance to consider all the data from the weekend. Lady Milne Team 2020 & European Women's Team 2020
Following a decision taken at the Council meeting on November 5th and on the advise of the International Committee the following decisions have been made with regards to the Women's teams for 2020. The Scotland team for the Lady Milne to be played in England in April will be Liz McGowan & Fiona McQuaker, Sam Punch & Paula Leslie and Sheila Adamson & Abi Milne - NPC tbc. Training for Scoring Swiss Teams
The SBU are running a training day on scoring a Swiss Teams Event. The training will be based on the Jeff Smith/EBU Score software. It will be hands on – all participants will have access to a laptop to practice setting up and running an event. The course is aimed at existing National Directors who wish to increase their skills and new people who would consider becoming National Directors and have an interest in scoring. The course will be free of charge, but by attending you will be expressing an interest in becoming a National Director. Please note that the closing dates for both the Women & Seniors trials have been changed to October 27th 2019 The Women's Trial for the Lady Milne 2020 and the Europeans 2020 will be a team trial as will the trial for the Senior Camrose and Senior Europeans and the Open Europeans. The closing date for the Women & Seniors is October 27th 2019 - that for the Open is November 30th. Any team wishing to be considered for the Open event as well as one of the others should enter both. National League 2019 - Division 1 - Weekend 1 Results
The Team of Mike Ash, Robert Ferrari, Frazer Morgan and Philip Stephens are currently leading Division 1 of the National League after the first set of matches. All of the teams are in contention with little more than 30 VPs covering the difference between first and last place. The second weekend of matches will take place in the Melville Bridge Club in Edinburgh on the 16th and 17th November.

European Mixed Teams 2020
The European Bridge League has now indicated that the European Mixed Teams Championship will be held at the same time as the Open, Women’s and Senior series in Funchal, Madeira from June 17th to 27th 2020. The International Committee has discussed the implications of this and decided that if a trial is necessary, then players would not be able to participate in the Mixed Team Trials if they have already been offered a place in the Women’s, Senior or Open Teams.
