SCOTTISH BRIDGE UNION
This tournament is for Bronze Members of the SBU. Each team may have 1 Silver member of the SBU, and may have up to 8 participants. Matches are currently being played over 7, 8 or 9 weeks depending on the number of entrants.
Dates for 2024 / 2025 are:
Bronze League 4Q24 - From Wednesday 17th September to Wednesday 26th November 2025.
Bronze League 1Q25 - From Wednesday 14th January to Wednesday 25th March 2026.
Bronze League 2Q25 - From Wednesday 15th April to Wednesday 24th June 2026.
Enhanced Local Masterpoints are awarded to teams winning their match; in addition to masterpoints there were financial prizes awarded to the first and second team in each division, so it is possible to get some or all of your entry fee back for ending a division in first or second place.

you may now register for the next iteration of the Bronze League that is due to run from 17th September 2025 through to the end of November 2025.

The Bronze League is generally scheduled to play online on BBO, in relaxed 16 boards matches. Matches are scheduled to be played on a Wednesday evening, but by mutual agreement between the captains, can be scheduled to be played at anytime. Each iteration of the Bronze League generally last for 9 weeks of scheduled matches, plus a 2 week period at the end for matches that need to be rescheduled. Local Masterpoints are awarded for winning a match, and cash prizes for teams finishing 1st or 2nd in a division.
It is a good forum for new teams to begin to appreciate playing in teams matches.
The Bronze League will continue to run on Wednesday evenings for the foreseeable future.
