SCOTTISH BRIDGE UNION
The home of Scottish Bridge

It is with real sadness that I learned that David Kaye had died from a heart attack whilst on Ben Lawers on Friday July 23rd.

He was a wonderful character, truly genuine, and a prolific writer of very funny articles - mostly about the antics of the Masters Club - which were published in the SBU News magazine.  I, like many people, always turned to his pages first.

David hailed from Glasgow and like many Glaswegians he had a wonderful sense of humour.  He was interesting and interested in everything from climbing Munros, bridge, chess, poetry, literature, play writing, crosswords, theatre, football and most of all his family and friends.  He was a man of intellect, who was kind, caring and loved life.  He most certainly lived life to the full and packed in so much into his lifetime.

His presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  If David had to go, the hills were the perfect place.
