I'm pleased to say that Council has ratified our proposal for the Open Trial for the 2022 Camrose Series so the minutes can now be published.  For this year only, the Open Trial will be a pairs trial held over three weekends.  The first of these will be open to any SBU members in good standing and eligible to represent Scotland in the Camrose. It will be a pre-trial with a number of established international pairs exempt from this weekend - probably around 8 - 10 pairs.  The second weekend will have a total of 16 pairs playing with the bottom 4 pairs dropping out before the third weekend that will have the 12 remaining pairs participating and thus able to play longer matches against each of the other pairs.  From this cohort of 12 pairs, 2 teams of 3 pairs plus a reserve pair for each will be selected.  Scotland are the organising NBO for the 2nd Camrose weekend and will thus have two teams taking part - Scotland and SBU.

Further information will be published in due course, but in the meantime, the important dates for your diaries are: September 4 & 5 (and possibly the evening of the 3rd depending on the size of the entry), October 2 & 3 and October 9 & 10 2021.

The trial for the Lady Milne & Senior Camrose teams will again be a combined pairs trial the weekend of December 4 & 5 (and possibly the 3rd) 2021.
