The National League for 2013/14 was completed this evening, and scoring info etc. will be posted in the next day or two.

Division 2 was won by the team of Robert Clow, Derrick Peden, Tim McKay, Keith Youngs, Laura Middleton & William Hawkins.  As a result of this, they win promotion to Division 1 next season and a prize of a paid entry to the Transnationals during the Bridge Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next September.

The winners of Division 1 are the team of Iain Sime, John Matheson, John Murdoch & Alan Mould.  They have chosen to be our representatives at the Commonwealth Games as well as winning the prize of £1,000.  A third pair may be added to this team nearer the time.

The leading Women's team of Anne Symons, Sheila Adamson, Liz McGowan, Sam Punch, Fiona McQuaker & Yvonne Wiseman will be our representatives in that event in the Europeans in Croatia next June.

The leading Senior team was Brian Short, Alan Goodman, Danny Kane & Irving Gordon.  Iain Sime & John Murdoch have also been selected to make up our Senior team for the Europeans.

The Open European team will be 4 of the second placed team in the National League - namely Frazer Morgan, Mike Ash, Alex Wilkinson & Phil Stephens.  A third pair will be added to this team shortly after consultations have taken place.

Congratulations to all those who have done well, and thanks to everyone who took part in the League and made it a success.
