The Scottish Bridge Clubs’ IT User Group  was set up following a recent meeting about Mempad.  It is a made up of volunteers in bridge clubs who do the techie stuff:  maintaining club computers and supporting the bridge dealing and scoring programmes.

 The group has three aims:

To provide help and advice to the SBU in developing their software systems that affect bridge clubs.

To act as a User Group for Scorebridge.

To share our technical expertise to help those supporting the IT in bridge clubs.

We are happy to provide what assistance we can to clubs with problems.  If you would like some help you can email the convenor, Mike Baron at .

We hope to provide regular help and tips about supporting the IT side of bridge.  The tips will appear on the SBU web site.  If you would like to join our mailing list, email me at the above address.

Tip #2.

In the latest version of Scorebridge, if you right click on an event you will get an option to create and send the SBU master point file without having to retrieve the event.

TIP #1 Upgrading to Windows 10

If you are planning to upgrade to Windows 10 and are using Bridgemates you will need to upgrade the Bridgemate Control Software to Version 3.1.2. (see http://www.bridgemate.com/resources/program/RevisionHistory.txt).   We would appreciate any feedback from clubs who have upgraded to windows 10.
